With lignol fuel in the tank, all petrol and diesel vehicles become environmental friendly cars. No new investments are needed on petrol stations or cars. Lignol is completely renewable, ethically problem free and produces very high climate effects when mixed in fossil fuel.

Demand for biofuels is now increasing strongly since mixing biofuels into fossil fuels directly reduces CO2 emissions from all vehicles. Lignol is a world-unique fossil-free bio-oil made of lignin from the Swedish forest. It is refined into bio-gasoline and bio-diesel.
Worlds first bio-gasoline made of lignin
Preemraff becomes the first in the world to produce bio-gasoline and bio-diesel from RenFuel's lignol. The biofuel is a so-called "drop-in" type which is mixable with fossil fuels and gives a direct and large climate effect and solves the fulfilment of increasing quota obligations.
Lignisol is bio-plastics made of lignin
Our unique, patented technology converts lignin into various types of materials that completely or partially replace fossil-based plastics. The lignin plastics are technically the same as fossil plastics, but reduce the carbon footprint.

Lignol turns all vehicles into environmental friendly cars!
LIGNOL® is a realistic solution for a fossil-free vehicle fleet 2030.
To phase out the fossil fuels and replace them with biofuels is the fastest and most realistic opportunity to reach a fossil-free vehicle fleet in 2030. In Sweden missions should then have fallen by 70% compared to 2010 and the share of biofuels should be at least 40%.
It takes at least 17-20 years to replace today’s all vehicles and to rebuild infrastructure to other modes of operation such as electric and gas vehicles. We neither have the time nor can we take the unrealistic costs and the negative environmental impact that a scrapping of today’s liquid fuel infrastructure would mean.
Lignol has a very high climate effect – over 90%
Drop-in type biofuel uses current infrastructure and vehicles without any new investments. Biofuels with high climatic effect are the fastest way to solve the CO2 problem, together with a balanced increase of electric and biogas vehicles. Both old and new infrastructure and vehicle fleets are then used to reach the environmental targets 2030-45.

LIGNOL® - The future biofuels are already here
RenFuel has invested more than SEK 200 million for technology development and the world’s first large-scale production plant for our green lignin oil – LIGNOL®. Samples of lignin from Rottneros pulp mill in Vallvik are delivered to RenFuel’s Lignol production plant and Lignol is then shipped to Preem’s refineries where it is processed into bio-gasoline and bio-diesel.
Full production is scheduled for 1Q 2021 and more facilities are already planned.
Our patented catalytic process converts environmental friendly and energy efficient lignin into renewable lignin oil or LIGNOL®. It is refined into green gasoline, diesel and jet-fuel for low or high mix, known as drop-in fuel, and delivers over 90% CO2 reduction. RenFuel lignol – creates the standard for all lignin oils and has comparable structure, energy content and performance like a fossil oil.

The residues we have previously burned, are now becoming biofuels
There is a large surplus of lignin in the forest industry that converted to lignol and refined to bio-gasoline and bio-diesel, directly can reduce fossil fuels and its carbon footprint.
Our innovation is pioneering for the pulp industry, which increases production capacity through reduced black liquor handling and diversifies the current business into a biorefinery.
